Peace be with you!
As we continue to pray for God's will in this election, I want to
pray for all voters and particularly all those voters who are followers
of Jesus.
I want to pray that they are informed by their faith and educated on the candidates to make the best choice possible.
I'm attaching a pdf of a document put out by the USCCB about
faithful citizenship. Please take a look and use it to guide your

Here are the novena prayers for today:
DAY 2 - ST. JUDE NOVENA PRAYERS
O blessed apostle Jude, who answers hopeless causes, grant that I
will always serve Jesus Christ with fervor and zeal. Grant that I may
give my best efforts in living His will every day. Please pray that I
will turn my heart and mind such that God will always be first in my
life. May my love of God be first above all things, all desires and even
all my intentions today.
(State your intentions)
St. Jude, please grant that I may be enlightened as to what is best
for me! Pray for my intentions today and especially pray for me to
receive the grace to love God more than what I seek from Him.
ELECTION PRAYER
O St. Jude, please bring these election prayers to the throne of God:
I ask for the eyes to see others as sons and daughters of God. I
ask for help in forming my conscience according to the Gospel so that I
may both vote and act for the common good.
Give me the courage to stand up for the weakest members of society.
The poor, the weak, the unborn. Give me the courage to re-examine my
political loyalties and to be first a faithful follower of Jesus before I
follow.
Remind me that my only true hope is in Jesus and that political
power can never replace the the will of God and the mission of the
Church.
For my own vote, help me to cast it in a way that is pleasing to
the Lord. Help me to do it reverently and with a well formed conscience.
For these elections, Oh God, please bless us with the best leaders possible at all levels of government.
My vote is a small but important part of my Christian life. Help me
to both vote and live by the Gospel putting my trust in Jesus alone.
Amen.
