Although we are introducing the E.F. Mass to Louth it is interesting, because it gives a little more ammunition against the liturgical 'neigh sayers' when we want a solid Novus Ordo for a specific occasion.
We have plenty from the 'dumbed down liturgy brigade' at Louth, but Pope Francis celebrating Mass ad orientem take the wind out of their sails.
At least he demonstrates that he can be 'level headed' about liturgy (in the Novus Ordo sense), unlike others.
Of course, I also have a 'theory' that there is a group within the Vatican (in the CDW) who are promoting good Novus Ordo liturgy to combat the growing numbers of E.F. Latin Masses.
This is the second time now that he has done this. Interesting.
