PRAYER ALERT:
12/12/12: PRAY FOR OUR NATION IN LIGHT OF MARRIAGE CHALLENGE
Christians across the UK will be praying during Prime Minister's Questions at 12 noon on Wednesday 12 / 12 12 |
As 2012 draws to a close, there is much for which to give thanks to God. Yet as news of the Government's determination to redefine marriage reminds us our society faces huge challenges.
The Culture Secretary, Maria Miller, is expected to announce the Government's proposals on Thursday. These will include plans to allow same-sex 'marriage' in churches despite earlier commitments that that would not be the case.
Over the weekend, a handful of Conservative MPs and Lords launched a new group ('Freedom to Marry') to urge other Conservatives to support same-sex marriage.
Will you take 12 minutes at 12 on Wednesday and join with others in praying for our nation? If you can't pray at 12, why not find 12 minutes at another point of the day?

In London, 'Together for the Nation' is hosting a special prayer
meeting in Westminster in the John Tudor Room at Methodist Central Hall
(Storey's Gate, London SW1H 9NH) at 12 noon. Doors open from 11am.
