We are now past half-way
done with the novena! I'm glad that you're sticking with this novena and
praying with so many others in preparation for our Lord's coming!
The Blessed Virgin Mary
accepted God's will into her life and into her womb as she carried and
gave birth to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Today, let's pray for all
mothers who have chosen life for their children -- especially for those
who have chosen adoption for their children.
Let's also pray for the couples who desire to become parents but who struggle with infertility.
Here are the novena prayers for today:
Opening Prayer:
V. O God, come to my assistance.
R. O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory be to the Father,
to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be, world without end.
Our Father, Who art in
Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on
earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive
us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And
lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
The Circumcision
O most sweet infant Jesus, circumcised when
eight days old, and called by the glorious name
of Jesus, and proclaimed both by your name and
by your blood, to be the Savior of the world.
Have mercy on us.
Have mercy on us, O Lord. Have mercy on us.
Hail Mary, Full of Grace,
the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the
fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now, and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
